Today, your CrediMax card has become an integral part of your life. Since there is always a risk of your card being lost, stolen and/or used without your knowledge and/or approval, it makes sense that you benefit from the free Card Security Service against the possible misuse of your card(s) prior to reporting it as lost or stolen, whether in Bahrain or abroad.

CrediMax now brings you the comfort of securing your card account on your CrediMax Platinum, Gold and/or Classic cards. For free, you will be relieved of the financial liability for the unauthorized transactions made with your lost or stolen card(s). This service is subject to the below terms and conditions and will cover only such transactions that are made without your knowledge, participation and/or approval.

The service will be effective 24 hours prior to the time of reporting and up to a maximum of BD 5,000 per annum. Where the theft is reported and approved by CrediMax to ensure conformance with the service terms and conditions, your account(s) will be fully secured from the time of reporting subject to thresholds outlined in clause 4.

It is our belief that we have a duty to secure our cardholders from the relevant risk of taking financial liability for transactions made on the lost or stolen card(s) and to help our cardholders to enjoy the peace of mind and security CrediMax offers its customers.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Annual Service Charge
    1. 1.1. There is no charge for protection of your card account(s) against lost or stolen under this service.
      1.2. The service shall remain active as long as your card account(s) remain active, and the closure of your account with CrediMax will result in the immediate cancellation of this Service .
  2. Coverage
    1.   Principal and supplementary cards (Visa, MasterCard and JCB) are automatically covered under this free service at no additional cost.
  3. Reimbursement
    1. 3.1. The free service shall cover any unauthorized purchases, orders, transfers, cash withdrawals and/or other transactions made on your credit card(s) without your direct or indirect knowledge and/or participation, within the twenty four (24) hours immediately preceding the time the loss or theft of the card(s) is reported to us in accordance with Clause ‎4.
      3.2. The cardholder account shall be secured up to a maximum amount of BD 5,000 per card account per annum (this includes the principal and the supplementary cards) and not exceeding BD 10,000 per cardholder per annum (All cardholder accounts including principal and supplementary cards).
  4. Notification
    1. 4.1. As soon as you become aware that your card is lost or stolen, you must notify CrediMax immediately so that we may close the credit card and stop payment(s) therein;
      4.2. CrediMax can be contacted on (+973) 17117116, and are available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
      4.3. The service will be subject to a deductible charge of BD 50/- in every case reported.
  5. Exclusions
    1. 5.1. You must take all reasonable steps to avoid anything which may result in a claim under this service.
      5.2 This service shall not cover any claims resulting from any of the following instances:
      1. 5.2.1. Where the theft is caused intentionally or unintentionally by you, or your spouse, children, relative or friends.
        5.2.2. Where the card is left unattended, or where it has been left negligently or deliberately in a public place or a place to which people other than family have access;
        5.2.3. Where the card has been passed to someone other than your family;
        5.2.4. Where the unauthorized purchases, orders, transfers and/or cash withdrawals were processed using the lost or stolen card’s valid Personal Identification Number (‘PIN’);
        5.2.5. Where you fail to exercise and perform the due diligence and care that would be taken by a reasonable person to guard and/or protect your card from loss and/or theft;
        5.2.6. If you, or anyone acting on your behalf, makes any false or fraudulent claim or supports a claim by false or fraudulent documents;
        5.2.7. Breach or non-compliance with any of the terms and conditions stipulated in the CrediMax VISA, MasterCard and JCB Cards General Terms and Conditions.
      5.3. In the event that any of the exclusions stipulated in Clause ‎5.2 apply, CrediMax reserves its right to recover any sums already paid to you by way of benefit under this terms & conditions.
      5.4. 5.4. Transactions which were processed using the lost or stolen card(s) before the term of this service(-ie prior to the 24 hours immediately preceding the time the loss or theft was reported to CrediMax) shall not be secured by CrediMax under this terms & conditions, and you shall be solely responsible, and shall accept full financial liability, for settling such transactions.
  6. Approval and Reimbursement
    1. 6.1. The approval for reimbursement under this service is subject to the above exclusions and shall be determined at the sole discretion of CrediMax.
      6.2. If approved, you shall be reimbursed by credit transfer into your card account.
      6.3. Notwithstanding Clause 5 above, where the loss is incurred in a currency other than Bahraini Dinars, you shall be reimbursed at the rate of exchange prevailing at the date the claim was notified to CrediMax.
      6.4. Approval is subject to your compliance to all the terms and conditions set out in this terms & conditions and in the CrediMax VISA, MasterCard and JCB Cards General Terms and Conditions. In the event of your breach or non-compliance, CrediMax reserves its right to refuse and/or turn down any claims under this free service and/or cancel your the service permanently.
  7. General
    1. 7.1. CrediMax VISA, MasterCard and JCB Cards General Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to form a part of this terms & conditions and shall be implied into this service. In the event of any conflict between this terms & conditions and the CrediMax VISA, MasterCard and JCB Cards General Terms and Conditions, this terms & conditions shall prevail.
